CHAPTER 3: NO ONE TOUCHES MY CHILD

“Who... who is she?” Vanessa asked weakly.
Alexander stared at Emma for several seconds.
Then answered.
“My daughter.”
Gasps erupted across the salon.
Several women covered their mouths.
One stylist nearly dropped her tools.
Vanessa's knees almost gave out.
Because the terrified young woman she had publicly humiliated wasn't poor.
Wasn't an outsider.
Wasn't pretending.
She was the secret daughter of Alexander Laurent.
Emma immediately shook her head.
“You said nobody could know yet.”
“I know.”
Alexander's voice softened instantly.
“But I’m done protecting people who hurt you.”
He removed his jacket and carefully draped it around her shoulders.
Then he turned toward Vanessa.
“You cut her hair to humiliate her publicly.”
His eyes hardened.
“So let me return the favor.”
Vanessa's breathing became uneven.
Alexander looked toward the salon manager.
“Effective immediately, every Beaumont account connected to Laurent investments is frozen.”
The manager nodded instantly.
“Yes, Mr. Laurent.”
“And if Ms. Beaumont ever enters another Laurent-owned property again... call security.”
Vanessa's face turned completely white.
Because nearly half the luxury businesses in the city secretly belonged to Laurent Global.
The consequences were already beginning.
Emma looked up at her father.
“You really came?”
Alexander smiled sadly.
“I always come when you call me.”
The sentence hollowed the room.
For the first time, the billionaire didn't look powerful.
He looked like a father who realized he had hidden his daughter from the world for too long.
Alexander gently wiped away her tears.
Then leaned down and whispered:
May you like
“No one touches my child again.”
Behind them, Vanessa Beaumont finally understood the cost of humiliating someone simply because they looked less wealthy than you.
